An enrichment collective for girls ages 7-9 centered on nature exploration, intellectual curiosity, and sisterhood
Who We Are
Crowned & Curious is a program within Brown Girls Society, created to give young Black girls space to explore the world with curiosity and confidence.
Through interacting with nature, books, art, and thoughtful conversations, girls build friendships while developing the curiosity and self-assurance that will support them throughout their lives.

Why This Matters
Curiosity is one of the most powerful forces in childhood.
When girls are encouraged to explore nature, ask questions, read widely, and connect with peers who celebrate their growth, they begin to see themselves as capable participants in the world.
Crowned & Curious exists to create that environment.

Participants will be placed in small cohorts of 10-12 girls to ensure meaningful connections.
Founder Note
The idea for Crowned & Curious started while thinking about the kind of childhood experiences I wanted for my own daughter.
I wanted her to feel comfortable exploring nature, confident speaking with others, curious about books and ideas, and surrounded by a community of girls who celebrate one another’s growth.
But I realized that spaces intentionally designed for those kinds of experiences don’t always exist.
Crowned & Curious is my attempt to help build that environment — a thoughtful sisterhood where girls can explore, learn, and grow together.
It’s a small organization rooted in a big belief: that curiosity, confidence, and community can shape the way girls see themselves and the world around them.
